Kottis was born in 1949 in Corinthia. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and at the same time attending classes at the workshop of Yiannis Moralis and Nikos Nikolaos. He received a scholarship to continue his studies at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts, in Paris, where he set up his studio and established his artistic base. Later, he also founded an atelier in Greece. His work has been shown in many galleries throughout Europe and abroad. Therefore, his paintings can be found worldwide in both private and public collections.
